Garland Christian Academy Battles Hard But Falls to The Covenant School, 95–76

Garland, TX — November 4, 2025 Garland Christian Academy put up a strong fight in a high-scoring contest Tuesday night but ultimately fell to The Covenant School, 95–76. The game featured fast-paced action and offensive highlights from both teams, with Garland Christian showing resilience until the final buzzer. The Covenant School came out firing, scoring 35 points in the first quarter to take an early lead. Garland Christian responded with 25 points in the second and 21 in the third, keeping the game competitive. In the fourth quarter, the Swords added another 20 points, but Covenant’s consistent scoring proved too much to overcome. Garland Christian Standouts Carson Nabors (#23) led the way with a game-high 29 points, shooting 11-of-18 from inside the arc and adding 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Aiden Tiet (#2) contributed 18 points, including seven two-point field goals and a perfect 1-for-1 from the free throw line. Stratton DuBose (#0) added 14 points, hitting three three-pointers and grabbing 2 rebounds. Ethan Godke (#20) and Ezra Massey (#14) combined for 15 points, with Godke pulling down 5 rebounds and Massey grabbing 3 offensive boards. Tiet also led the defensive effort with 6 steals, while Nabors recorded the team’s only block. Team Comparison Garland Christian shot 48% from the field, 33% from three-point range, and 67% from the free throw line. Despite matching Covenant in turnovers (19 each), the Swords were out-rebounded 30–22 and struggled to contain Covenant’s perimeter shooting, as the visitors knocked down 15 three-pointers. With standout performances from Nabors and Tiet, the Swords have plenty to build on as they prepare for their next matchup.
