Garland Christian Pulls Away Late to Defeat Wylie Prep, 63–48

Garland Christian Academy’s varsity boys basketball team secured a decisive 63–48 victory over Wylie Prep on Thursday night, showcasing resilience and strong second-half play. The Swords came out firing, jumping to an early 20–6 lead in the opening stretch. However, Wylie Prep battled back, trimming the deficit to just three points at halftime with Garland Christian holding a narrow 36–33 advantage. In the second half, GCA regained control behind standout performances from its top scorers. Aiden Tiet led the charge with 24 points, while Carson Nabors added 15, and Noah Doddy chipped in 9 to help seal the win. The victory highlights Garland Christian’s ability to respond under pressure and maintain composure when the momentum shifted. With this win, the Swords continue to build confidence heading into their next matchup. Fans won’t have to wait long for the rematch. Garland Christian and Wylie Prep will square off again on Friday, December 12, with a full slate of games: JV at 5:00 PM, Varsity Girls at 6:00 PM, and Varsity Boys at 7:30 PM.
