GARLAND, TX — November 14, 2025 Garland Christian Academy’s varsity boys basketball team delivered a dominant performance Friday night on their home court, defeating Longview Christian 74–41 in the Providence Challenge opener. The Swords showcased offensive firepower and defensive intensity, pulling away in the second half to secure the win. Garland Christian jumped ahead early, leading 21–18 after the first quarter. The second period saw the Swords extend their advantage, heading into halftime up 33–18. From there, GCA never looked back, outscoring Longview 27–12 in the third quarter and closing strong with a 14-point fourth quarter. Key Performers: Carson Nabors led all scorers with 25 points, including five two-point field goals and four three-pointers. He also added 6 assists and 6 rebounds, showcasing his all-around game. Noah Doddy contributed 19 points, hitting six shots inside the arc and one from deep, while pulling down 7 rebounds. Stratton DuBose added 18 points, connecting on three two-pointers and four three-pointers, and chipped in 2 rebounds and 1 assist. Garland Christian shot an impressive 51% from the field, including 40% from three-point range (10-of-25). Their balanced attack and defensive pressure forced 19 turnovers from Longview Christian, while GCA committed just 13. The Swords also matched Longview on the boards with 32 rebounds, and recorded 17 assists as a team, highlighting their unselfish play.
