Tiet’s 31 Points Lift Garland Christian to 7–4 with Win Over Wylie Prep

GARLAND, TX — Garland Christian Academy improved to 7–4 on the season after a strong offensive showing led by senior guard Aiden Tiet, who scored 31 points in a 67-39 victory over Wylie Prep. Tiet was electric, shooting 12-of-25 from the field, including three triples, and converting 4-of-7 free throws. His scoring accounted for nearly half of the Swords’ total points. Tiet’s performance was complemented by Noah Doddy, who filled the stat sheet with 7 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists, while also recording 6 steals. Doddy’s defensive energy and playmaking were key in keeping Garland Christian in control. Ethan Godke added 9 points on an efficient 3-of-4 shooting, including two three-pointers, while Carson Nabors chipped in 8 points and 6 assists, helping the Swords spread the floor and create scoring opportunities. For Wylie Prep, Barrett Malhoit (#20) was the standout performer, scoring 16 points on 7-of-9 shooting and grabbing 9 rebounds. Mitchell Murphree (#11) contributed 7 points and 4 assists, but Wylie Prep struggled overall, shooting just 28% from the field and 2-of-19 from three-point range. Garland Christian’s defensive pressure forced 20 turnovers, turning them into fast-break opportunities that fueled the win. The Swords also controlled the boards, pulling down 31 rebounds compared to Wylie Prep’s 27.
